so, first off. yes we have snow. no, probably not as much as the rest of the country, but we're still enjoying it. White Christmases all around!

second: let's talk about my daughter's deep devotion to candy canes. She will go to great lengths in order to reach the ones on the tree. Like standing on her little chairs while mom is upstairs and then quickly sitting down when she spies me. When I ask her if she is making good choices she responds with an emphatic "NO!" emphatic yet obviously proud!
