Top Ten Things Guthrie Hates About Winter*
1. Falling down on salted/sanded ice.
2. Being stuck inside days at a time.
3. Having to wear so many gosh darn layers.
4. Mommy forcing her to come and shovel with her- just so she can burn some energy off.
5. When the wind chill is lower than -10 and I have to wear a blanket over my head on the way to the car.
6. The 20 minutes it takes us to prepare to leave the house (ok maybe that's more mommy)
7. Being forced to "play" in the snow.
8. The constant snot.
9. My winter rashy face.
10. That it's lasting this blasted long.

Top Ten Things Guthrie Loves About Winter**
1. Watching it fall (the biggest mystery EVER)
2. Watching Mommy scrape the windows from the warmth and relative comfort of my car seat.
3. Watching Mommy shovel out the car from the warmth and relative comfort of my car seat.
4. Watching the snow drift.
5. Are we catching a theme about how she likes to watch winter rather than participate in it?
6. Wearing her coat and hat.
7. Wearing snow boots. (They're loud)
8. Standing on the green couch and watching the cars try to make it up and down our street (which is deeply rutted with 4 inches of packed snow and ice.)
9. Snow plows with lights (not that we've actually seen one of these on our street for the past 3 snow storms.)
10. Stories about spring.

dad has taken to shaking his fist at the sky at
odd and unpredictable moments.
